STEP 1 - Paint your wall

Choose an accent color that speaks to you. Apply 2 coats of matte paint and let dry in between coats. No need to add a primer.

STEP 2 - Choose your stencil

Choose your stencil. Royal Design Studio has so many beautiful ones. The wall stencils are large so there is lots of coverage.

STEP 3 - Stick your stencil to the wall

Painters tape works but if it’s your first time, try a light adhesive in addition. It will help the stencil stick and reduce bleed.

STEP 4 - Paint your stencil

This is the important part. Get a good quality paint. I love this “Antique Gold” cream paint from Royal Design Studio. The light catches it and it just shines. Use a small foam roller set with tray. Available on Amazon. You only need a little bit of paint. Don’t use too much. It’s like gold!

STEP 5 - Move your stencil Across the wall

Stencil across the wall and work your way down. Royal Design Studio makes it easy with their stencil guide and ceiling stencil (included with purchase)!

Touch it up!

As you can see, some areas need help! It’s so easy to fix. Just keep some of your base paint on hand, cover up and redo!
